Why make a loader for 22LR ACIS pattern mags?  The initial reason was because magazine extensions require the removal of pin inside the follower.  Without the pin, magazine loading is a whole lot more aggravating.  Another reason was time.  When you want to spend your time doing other things at a match or the range, getting mags loaded quickly is a bonus.  The third reason is dependability.  With consistent loading of the rounds and using the follower spring for upward pressure, the dreaded rim lock can be avoided.

We spent a lot of time getting this right.  Luckily we had help from one of the top shooters in Rimfire, Chris Simmons, give us feedback on how the loader worked with various magazines and improvements we could do.  

What we’ve come up with is a loader that has a return spring to make ammo loading a super fast and repeatable operation.  The loader is an ergonomic thumb operation while holding the AICS pattern rimfire magazine with the same hand.
